
Christian Lolo Moreno is an active percussionist and drum-set artist from Chicago, IL.
As a freelance performer, he has made guest appearances with the Chicago Philharmonic, Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Indiana Symphony, Paramount Theatre, Marriott Theatre, Music Theatre Works, and Peacherine Ragtime Society, to name a few. In 2022, he was invited to hold the keyboard III chair on the national tour of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, having traveled to over 65 cities across the United States, Mexico and Canada. From 2017-2019, Christian gigged extensively across the U.S as the touring drummer for the theatrical show, Close to You: The Music of the Carpenters. He plays regularly for a number of pickup orchestras, jobbing bands, worship groups, and independent artists in the area.
As an educator, Mr. Moreno has taught with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, People’s Music School and Ravinia Festival (Sistema Ravinia), among many others. He currently maintains his own private teaching studio.
Christian received his musical training from the DePaul University School of Music, where he earned a B.M in percussion performance, and will be returning to pursue a M.M in orchestral studies this fall. His teachers will include: Cynthia Yeh, Ian Ding, Eric Millstein and Michael Kozakis, with additional private instruction from Ted Atkatz.
